Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don't know how many 'uses' to input per day?
To help calculate the number of WC visits, hand washes or dries per day: in an office the average visits per person is three times per day; in a hospitality environment, use three times per person per full day, or two per part day. This figure should then be multplied by the number of people at the site.
For example, in a office that has 500 staff, the number of WC visits is 500 x 3 = 1,500.
Why are some of the calculator boxes already filled in?
If you are not sure of specific details, such as cost of electricity per hour or sewerage cost, we have already filled in boxes with default figures that can be used, based on common practice or industry averages. If you have a more accurate figure, simply replace the value with your own figures.
